Occasionally, our clients request a Terminal Services installation of our software rather than the regular installation configuration. Below are some pieces of wisdom that will be helpful if you wish to have a Terminal Services installation, or already have one in place.
If you use Citrix for your applications, our Terminal Services installation is perfect for you. But please be sure to remember to publish the TS User Configuration and the TS User Cleanup executables alongside Desktop.
Licenses work differently for this type of installation. They are assigned to the user on the workstation that ran TS User Configuration, which is more specific than the original setup. When installing your terminal server licenses, make sure to be logged into the workstation as the user who will be using the product, rather than an administrator. Do not right click and run as admin, or else it will assign the license to the admin and not the desired user.
