SPC Export Utility - Mining Data and Parsing it Your Way

1. Access SPC Examiner.

2. Highlight History.

3. In order to narrow your search parameters, you can add traceability to your search but you will need to add the traceability topic(s) to the query before you begin. Select Add Topic to add some traceability to your search.

1. Highlight the traceability topic you wish to add, (Operator is shown above).

2. When you have added all of the traceability topics, select OK to save them.

3. Fill in the rest of your query. You have to select at least one Part number, or process or location. You do not have to select one for each, just one will return results but since you have a lot of data, the more you select, the more it will narrow your search. Don’t forget to populate your traceability field(s).

4. Once complete, select the Export button near the bottom-right. That will load the SPC Export Utility.

1. When the SPC Export Utility window opens, select the Config button and another dialog will open in the center of the screen.

2. Be sure to put a check mark in the Operator check box.

3. Also, you will want to include the sample data. Put a check in the box.

4. I have no idea of how much data you are looking for but enter an appropriate amount of maximum rows of data and I would suggest bumping the Timeout to at least 120 seconds

5. Press OK to save your configuration. If you are searching for variable data, press the variable button, as I did and is shown below. Or choose Attribute for attribute data. The slider bar at the bottom of the window will expose all of the data available. This data can be exported by selecting the export button and then then you can parse the data however you like.
