Maturity Level Assurance
One of the core concepts is the Maturity level assurance method in the supply chain. An excellent description is taken from the VDA RGA document:
“The maturity level assurance of deliveries is based on the existing project management and a maturity level milestone philosophy with a total of seven maturity levels (Maturity Level 0 to Maturity Level 6), whose times are defined at the start of the project by the customer and supplier at the “round table”. Each maturity level describes the status of the goal achievement in respect of product, process and project maturity at the agreed milestones. At the same time, potential risks in the overall project are detected early in order to counter these with suitable measures, schedules and responsibilities. All maturity levels build on one another and have to be assessed in the prescribed order in the product realization process using defined criteria.”

The combination of a maturity model with project management and control methods presents a uniform and well-defined framework for the product community. This also can reduce the added outlays needed to maintain multipledelivery control systems for multiple customers.
The Maturity Level Assurance method is a refinement of the Stage-Gate philosophy widely used for product development processes in complex manufacturing industries around the globe. The refinements that have been added by the VDA, such as the maturity model, round tables, and traffic light cascade, represent the next generation of Stage-Gate process management and analysis.
Powerway has developed a Stage-Gate business process engine that is designed to address the requirements of a technical apparatus for Maturity Level Assurance.

We have used this software platform to implement Stage-Gate processes between customers & suppliers for hundreds of thousands of deliveries globally.
