Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) is designed to help organizations effectively plan the design and development of a new product. The Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) has developed an approach to this process by providing a set of stages, gates, deliverables, and guidelines, which have been acknowledged by the automotive industry as the accepted standard, and supports the requirements described in ISO/TS 16949 standard.
